Senators visit

Davos is officially no-go.
Sens. Daniel Inouye and Thad Cochran visited Party HQ for an official meeting with Tanigaki. They have been to Okinawa and have met with PM, Governor of Okinawa, US Military Commander, Cabinet Ministers, Speaker, House leaders etc. Sen. Inouye said let us not send out wrong signals to China and North Korea. He also warned that if PM made proposals that could not be taken seriously, the US would take it as a signal to leave Japan.
Now everyone in the Party is watching if Tanigaki could tell Aoki to step down. It does not matter that Aoki is incumbent. As soon as he is nominated as an official LDP candidate, an exodus will begin.
